Key features include the Dream Avenue cultural theatre district; the headquarters of Oriental DreamWorks film company, and a 500-seat IMAX Cineplex. Andy Lai, design director at Benoy, said: ‘We see the Dream Center as a catalyst for change in Shanghai, a development that will culturally elevate its urban setting, which is very exciting. It will propel Shanghai as the new hub for imagination and creativity in the country.’ Site work begins this year, to be completed for opening in 2017.
