Demonstrating responsible tourism for years, the Guldsmeden hotel is an organic entity, which focuses strongly on sustainability. In order to work on sustainability issues, the Bertrams hotel has implemented a Sustainability Management Plan in which energy goals are strictly monitored.
To support the environment, the electricity of the hotel is supplied by “Natur Energi”, which comes from 100% sustainable sources. In addition, there are plans to install solar and small wind power mills on the rooftop. To support a carbon-neutral stay, the hotel has implemented the zero-impact policy.
Non-toxic and eco-labeled products are used to clean the bed linen and bathrooms. Packaging is reduced to a minimum, and suppliers adhering to sustainable and fair trade practices are given preference. The hotel also serves upto 96% organic food and drinks.
