Its Knee High initiative launched in July with St Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals, which put up the cash, and two London councils. Some 190 applicants were received and from a shortlist of 25 the winners selected. They include Creative Homes, by a team of designers and artists aiming to create interactive play products to relieve stress in the home, and the Leapfrog Bus for interactive experiences for under fives using family-friendly spacial design.
The project teams, each with access to £10,000, will test their concepts’ viability and given tailored support. Further funding of up to £100,000 can be applied for in the autumn.
