Husbands, which is based in Halesowen and has recently undergone a change of ownership will provide 38 lifts to the chain, which has outlets throughout the UK.

Contracts to supply the Balmatic service lifts in La Tasca bars and restaurants include York, Kingston-on-Thames, Portsmouth, Docklands, Reading and Birmingham’s Star City.

The new lift installation at La Tasca in York which takes place at the end of October involves fitting a disabled peoples’ platform lift and a specially adapted food service lift with a 50 kg carrying capacity. The food service lift has been manufactured with a side driven motor because of the low headroom in the city restaurant.

La Tasca at Birmingham’s Star City involved the installation of a double waist high service lift, which similarly has a carrying capacity of 50 kg and connects the downstairs kitchen with the dining area.

Husbands is no stranger to supplying the bar and restaurant industry and other contracts include Pizza Express, Café Lazeez, Fish! and McDonalds.

Commenting on the contract with La Tasca, Husbands’ managing director Keith Holmes says:

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to supply our popular Balmatic brand of food service lifts to La Tasca bars and restaurants. The success and fast growth of this chain gives us excellent potential to work with them in their programme of new bar openings and refurbishments. The stainless steel lifts we install are stylish as well as practical which is key to the overall look of the restaurants.”
