Spanning 125 acres of land, the newly launched city has been designed to provide a fully-integrated mix of residential, retail, hospitality and special economic zone uses to the residents. Apart from that, the new city will also include school, healthcare and sports facilities, which will make it the first-of-its- kind in India.
Designed with high sustainability, the city will offer residents close access to workplaces and so-called ‘third spaces.’ The entire city would be accessible by foot or bicycle and feature links to major transport networks by road as well as a potential future rail connection.
Bhartiya City will also include rain water harvesting, recycling and architectural interventions that reduce air conditioning load and electricity consumption. The city also encourages preservation of native plants that preserves the ecological biodiversity of the area.
Offering an open, accessible and inspirational development plan, the Bhartiya City has incorporated architectural concept and schematic design, retail interior design, landscape design and public realm strategy in the city.
Featuring six office towers, three hotels and a convention centre, the two precincts comprise of 460,000 square metres of mixed-use development over basement parking. In addition to that, the precincts also feature shopping centre, cinema, park and major landscaped areas, as well as Celebration Square, a public performance area that will accommodate 5,000 people. Precinct one has been designed to provide 2,400 residential units featuring well-planned designs.
