Renovation of the traditional-styled hotel overlooking the Ohio River is aimed at providing a fresh look. This is the hotel’s first renovation since it was built 15 years ago.
All 251 guest rooms will get new wall coverings, carpet, furniture, bedding, and televisions, along with renovated bathrooms. The exterior of the hotel will also be repainted. The current exterior of the hotel is terra cotta with purple accents, which will be replaced with a new colour scheme of sand with battleship gray accents.
Room renovations will begin in early August with painters scaffolding to be erected outside the hotel about the same time. Both the room renovations and the painting is expected to be finished by 2012.
