Scheduled to be inaugurated in less than 100 days, the hospital has been designed to represent a holistic approach towards family centered care. A news channel reporter, who got an exclusive look of the interiors, reported display of kaleidoscopic colors in the design.
The interiors have been done up with a view to decrease stress levels both for the patients and their families. The main lobby is very well light and houses the waiting rooms for imaging, neurology and other specialties.
The project also involves construction of a 300,000 square feet research center, a garden, a chapel, and installation of a giant screen to show movies. The Mario Lemieux Foundation has set up a sibling drop off center in the hospital which is surrounded by bright tiles.
