Graze Bar, Brasserie & Chophouse is a food led concept that has been designed to create a venue that was from the same family as the original, but in a style sympathetic to the new building and location. Bath Ales acquired the new site in Cirencester, which was a listed timber frame building. The building which features an ornate 17th century gothic façade, was given a complete makeover to create a sophisticated ambience.
A new style and appearance was required to communicate the all-day offering to a wider demography. At the same time, a traditional style was needed to reassure the loyal Bath Ales customer. The bar was located in a more central position to improve operational flow. New elements were introduced to communicate the Chophouse food offering. Cow sculptures, knife handle coat hooks, and old black-and-white pictures of butchers were used to convey the offering. The interiors were enhanced by the soothing lighting schemes and the walls.
An existing overgrown garden was utilised as an outdoor dining venue. It was paved in local sandstone. The site also features garden, and a real sun trap with mature planting, suitable for al fresco drinking and dining.
It is the second bar/brasserie under the Graze brand in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.
