The new headquarters, members’ facilities and conference rooms will be built at 106-109 Saffron Hill, Clerkenwell, and would be a redevelopment of an existing Victorian building. The facility will be designed to achieve the BREEAM ‘Excellent’ standard of environmental performance.
CIWEM’ new office will feature welcoming lounge and informal meeting areas for its members. It will also feature meeting rooms, conference and exhibition space, offering higher standards of engagements with the stakeholders. The facility will offer accommodation for those renting business spaces on rent at a convenient location for underground, mainline and Crossrail, once the Farringdon transport hub is fully developed. The accommodation will conform to the Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4.
Construction will commence in October 2012 and would be complete by August 2013.
