Alejandro Sanchez designed the new cooktop with a focus on automation and environmental awareness. Dubbed as ‘Cooktop for Enviroment’, the new cooktop is loaded with timer, touch controls and memory function among other things. It is made of white ceramic glass.

The mixed gas-cooktop featuring three gas-burners is designed to not only restore natural resources by reducing the energy consumption, but also ensures safety of the users. The white glass-ceramic alloy is capable of resisting the temperature of the gas-combustion. The support arms are made of polished steel.

The sustainable cooktop can also detect the temperature of the pots on top of the burner, thanks to the sensors and mechanism installed in the arms of each burner. When not in use, the cooktop closes the valve automatically to control the gas-flow, and hence avoids energy wastage and accidents.

Alejandro Sanchez pursued bachelor in industrial design from El Bosque University Faculty of Design, Image and Communication in Colombia.
