The bus stand, developed for Transport for London (TfL) is located next to Streatham Railway Station. The stand includes a specially designed welfare facility, which will be used by staff and drivers; and eight bus stands. The new stand provides permanent home to TfL buses, which until the opening, operated from the temporary facilities provided alongside the United Reform Church.

The Streatham Hub development will include a full-size ice rink, modern leisure centre with a swimming pool, 250 new homes, and a Tesco store on Streatham High Road. The facilities to open in 2012 consist of new 1,000-seat full ice rink, pool and leisure centre developments, Clapham Leisure Centre and Clapham Library. Construction is underway on new leisure and health facilities in West Norwood.

London Borough of Lambeth has contributed £19.42 million ($30.84 million) for the construction of new leisure centre, ice rink and swimming pool, with additional funding by Tesco. When completed, the permanent ice rink will be part of Lambeth leisure services.

The next major milestone will be the external completion of the new leisure centre and ice rink in August 2013. The building will then be ‘fitted-out’ ahead of a scheduled opening to the public towards the end of 2013.
