The renovated outpatient department will offer a modern, comfortable and therapeutic environment. The lobby will feature new entrance lobby and reception will be modernised with glazed walls to allow more natural light.
The café, now in the atrium, will be replaced by a new facility in the current reception area, which will be opened with views outside. The atrium will be used for an improved waiting area, with more comfortable seating. The refurbishment will promise a lighter and more modern environment for the Ashford’ outpatients.
The programme of works will be carried out in five phases, of varying lengths. By carrying out the work in phases, the outpatients department will be able to deliver an uninterrupted service, although some clinics may move temporarily within outpatients while works are underway. The refurbishment works will last for one year.
The hospital is managed by NHS Foundation Trust .
