Lying back and gazing up at the stars before drifting off to sleep is one of those things we might do once or twice in our lives – perhaps on holiday when it’s warm enough to sleep on the beach or the deck of a boat.
But it is possible to get the effect of sleeping beneath the stars in the comfort of your own home thanks to the Cosmos Bed by Russian designer Natalia Rumyantseva.
Although it may not quote capture the true feeling of sleeping ‘under starry skies above’, the bed certainly does have its advantages. As well as a firmament of LED lights that replicate the cosmos, the bed’s canopy also features an audio system so that you can drift off to the sounds of your favourite music; there’s also a built-in alarm clock and even an ‘aromatic dispenser’ for the ultimate sensory experience.
