Scope of the project involves construction of 452 homes on a 91.5 hectare area, HCA owned land, at West Park in Epsom. Construction of the new homes will be based on several innovative practices, which will make them highly sustainable and minimize their carbon footprints.
The project includes 250 new homes, which will be based on Fabric Energy Efficient Standard specification. These homes will feature high grade of insulation system, which will trim down their dependence on sustainable energy and will be highly carbon efficient throughout their life.
The project also involves five AIMC4 units which will be built by Crest Nicholson. These affordable, homes will comply with the Energy standards of the Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4. The homes will be constructed on the fabric-first solution basis.
The site will also retain and revamp former hospital buildings into flats. About 40% of the new homes will be under affordable homes category.
