Crestron teamed up with designer and installer Kensington Home Technology to demonstrate how smart home technology blends beautifully with sophisticated interior design to create a living space that balances form and functionality.
Today’s digital homes feature more electronic devices than ever before. Crestron solutions are designed to simplify and enhance any lifestyle and enables homeowners to control all the different devices in their homes from an easy-to-use and intuitive interface. Users can control TV, movies and music, as well as view and adjust lighting levels, room temperature, curtains and blinds, and monitor security status anywhere from a touchscreen or smart devices.
Decorex was deemed a suitable platform by Crestron to showcase its products. Phil Breitschadel, UK sales manager at Crestron added that Crestron has been working to close the gap between design and technology and the show is an opportunity to showcase the technology to designers and architects. Designers are often perceived to be intimidated by technology and Crestron is attempting to change that attitude by explain how it can complement an interior rather than have a negative effect on it.
Crestron showcased its products at stand F192. Decorex 2012 was held at Royal Hospital, Chelsea.
