The Emergency Room (ER) project will see 3,000 additional sq ft of functional space added to the 5,000 sq ft emergency department. The addition is to accommodate the growing inflow of patients into the hospital.
Construction is scheduled to begin by mid-2009. The facility will feature exclusive treatment rooms for heart, stroke, and trauma care.
Along with the building expansion, the hospital is also planning to incorporate a new ER specialist team, new equipment in the fleet of ambulances and enhancements to the cardiovascular services department.
