The two glass-made pieces will include; a glass lighting sculpture called Infinity, and Hydrogene Bar, an illuminated crystal bar, which will add to the beauty of the VIP section of the Czech House.
The Infinity, designed by Jitka Kamencová Skuhrava, roots its inspiration to the expansive universe and mathematics. The design of the sculpture symbolises an illusion to the oblique symbol. The S-shaped piece is made of 1,400 hand-blown glass leaves, decorated with linear grooves and creates an impression of the wind gently rustling through the leaves. The piece is 7m long and has been installed at the mezzanine, the public space of the Czech House.
The Hydrogene Crystal Bar has been made from 4 Arch for Lasvit, Lars Kemper & Peter Olah’s innovative and versatile architectural system of illuminated glass pieces. The bar features flat, intricately textured glass elements that are lit by a series of LEDs. The LED lights offer several combinations to create a wide range of contemporary interior and exterior constructions as well as lighting design.
The bar has a rectangular exterior, which features vertical, illuminated glass pieces that create a gallery of light. The space is further illuminated by a series of simple, pendant-style ceiling lamps hung above, and rounds of the design of the bar.
The pendant lamps have textured, luminous surface and have contemporary fittings, which create a playful show of light. Hydrogene Crystal Bar has been installed in the VIP section of the Czech House.
