Canopy Airport Parking is designed to be DIA’s new parking choice for indoor valet, covered self-park, and open air parking. The new climate-controlled valet parking is several acres of parking under a single roof, offering comparable protection to a multi-level concrete structure.

The work on the parking facility by Canadian energy retrofitting service provider Greenscape Capital Group is moving ahead of schedule and is slated to open in mid-November 2010. Designed to accommodate 4200 vehicles, the facility is embedded with a variety of advanced environmentally-friendly technologies, including solar power, geothermal, wind, CNG, Biodiesel and hybrid shuttles. Garage Juice Bar charging stations for electric vehicles is also one among the many innovative technologies available to customers parking at Canopy Airport Parking.

Designed in collaboration with BMW Group DesignworksUSA, the Canopy Airport Parking is targeted to attain LEED-Gold certification and is also striving for Platinum certification by the Green Parking Council, the non-profit organisation responsible for certifying parking structures that incorporate ecologically and socially beneficial technologies.

Propark, a US-based parking company, is the operating partner at the Canopy Airport Parking facility.
