Rwanda Aid provides support for the most needy and vulnerable people of Rwanda, especially in the remote South West district of Cyangugu.
Engineers, architects, environmentalists, builders and relief workers are encouraged to submit their innovative design and / or construction ideas for low cost housing. The design proposal should address issues such as sustainable technology, environmental awareness, improved health and living conditions. The deadline for entries is January 9, 2010.
The home design should be sturdy which can be used to build replacements for the homes that were destroyed in earthquake. The judging panel includes architects Ben Reed from Sheppard Robson and Tim Ryan from Bryden Wood & Associates.
