This year’s Orgatec has a totally restructured hall plan, with each hall having its own thematic ‘Focus Area’ in the middle, offering inspiring insights into trends and developments related to the future of work. 2 Kusch+Co 85 Years of Design Heritage

This exhibition celebrates design icons in recognition of this esteemed manufacturer’s 85th anniversary. On show will be a design journey of furniture icons from the 1930s to 2020s, from designers such as Karim Rashid, Professor Luigi Colani and Robert de le Roi. The exhibition will continue its European showroom tour that includes Berlin and Paris. www.kusch.com
3 The Independent Hotel Show

The UK’s dedicated business event for the boutique and luxury hotel sector returns, along with the Independent Hotel Show Awards, which organisers say are bigger and better for 2024. In addition to the Independent Hotel of the Year and Hotel Rising Star categories, a new award for Best Hotel Design of the Year has been introduced to celebrate design innovation in the hotel sector. www.independenthotelshow.co.uk
4 Frieze London 2024

Frieze London returns with a new design and a new curatorial direction for its sister event Frieze Masters. Both will put an emphasis on artists and discovery, with Frieze London featuring a groundbreaking new floorplan by design practice A Studio Between. The reconfigured layout and entrance give greater prominence to the fair’s curated sections, including Artist-to-Artist and the themed section, Smoke. www.frieze.com
5 Dundee Design Festival 2024

Celebrating ten years of Dundee’s status as the UK’s only UNESCO City of Design, the fifth festival embraces Multiplicity as its theme.
