The house features simple massing, a material palette, and an extensive use of glass throughout. The house sports a glass box living area that has large sliding doors separating the house from the dining and pool room.
The house has been designed on an open plan and exhibits visual connections between the private areas such as the dining, kitchen and the living rooms. In order to separate the staircase from the kitchen, the designers have made use of a see-through oak screen. A floating bookcase/art display millwork piece has been used by the designers to creation a distinction between the entry hall and the private bedroom wing.
Keeping the environmental issues in mind, the house has been equipped with a 3kw solar panel system, instant hot water heaters, bio foam insulation, and rain water collection, which provides water to a large portion of the house. The house also features mechanical systems, low e-glass, and an eco-smart burner which has been used by the designers to create a fireplace mass.
