The project is being developed at 2405 Anderson Road, near the University of Mississippi. The project involves construction of 160 cottages, which will together offer 668 beds. The cottages will be a mix of two, three, four and five bedroom homes.
Each cottage will have a gourmet kitchen and en-suite bathroom with bedroom. The other features consist of large closets, a full-size washer and dryer, nine-feet ceilings, carpet, ceramic tile and hardwood-style vinyl floors and high-speed internet/cable.
Other amenities for the students consist of outdoor living areas, green spaces, resort-style pool, sand volleyball court, horseshoe pits and a clubhouse. The clubhouse will house fitness center, tanning beds, internet café, private and group study rooms, computer lounge, game room, golf simulator and a fully equipped community kitchen.
The project will be the first cottage style collegiate housing scheme for the university. This type of housing will provide neighbourhood style of housing. The project is slated for completion in late 2013.
EdR commands majority stake in the joint venture and upon completion of work will maintain the facility. The companies are meeting 75% of the total development cost by means of construction loan from PNC Bank.
