Danish Carpet supplier Ege Carpets has appointed Claus Beier as its new group CEO ‘to spearhead a new growth journey focused on international development and strengthening the company’s market position’.

Beier comes from a position as group CEO at the Danish industrial business Vald.Birn, where he has been at the helm of a transformation process since 2022. He also has many years of management experience at JKE Design, JELD-WEN and B6 Gruppen.

‘We wanted to take the time necessary to find the right profile to lead Ege Carpets into its next phase of growth,’ said chairman of the board Søren Eskildsen. ‘In Claus Beier, we have a strong, confident and results-oriented leader who has demonstrated an ability to drive transformation, create growth and unite organisations around a clear direction. He has exactly the skills we have been looking for, and he will be an important driving force in realising our ambitions for Ege Carpets.

‘Claus Beier has been chosen because of his many years of experience in international companies, where he has been at the forefront of turnarounds, strategy execution, branding and growth across markets. His proven ability to both deliver results and engage organisations makes him a natural choice to lead Ege Carpets into the next phase.’

‘I am very much looking forward to becoming part of Ege Carpets and continuing the work of developing the company as a strong international brand,’ said Beier. ‘Ege Carpets is in a solid position financially and organisationally, and with a focus on both design and sustainability, we have a unique starting point. Together with employees, customers and partners, I look forward to taking the next step in the journey that the company is already well underway on.’

Beier’s appointment comes following the departure of Rune Stephansen, who left the company after four years as CEO to move into a consulting role.
