Formerly Tremont Suites Hotel, the Embassy Suites Baltimore-Downtown is the brand’s third property in the state of Maryland.

Including an array of new and re-concepted amenities for business and leisure travellers alike, the converted 37-storey property features 300 remodelled guestrooms with modernised bathrooms and wet bars, newly designed lobby and guest public areas, an outdoor pool, and a new food and beverage outlet, B’more Bistro and Lounge.

Featuring a flexible design approach to meet the needs of a downtown location, the renovated hotel features spacious guestrooms with microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee maker. Guestrooms will also be equipped with flat-screen high-definition televisions.

The property also offers a complimentary fitness centre, business centre, and seasonal outdoor pool. Its e-lounge with complimentary Wi-Fi and computer work stations are available for guests’ use. Additionally, it features cozy communal table setting to make the experience more enjoyable.

For meetings and conventions, weddings, and social functions, it features Grand Historic Venue, which includes 45,000 square feet of meeting space and pre-function space with 19 classical fully wired and updated banquet rooms across five floors. The Grand Historic Venue also features luxurious women’s bathroom and lounge-showcasing nine types of marble, large columns and light fixtures, and hand-carved woodwork.

Among the 19 meeting rooms, three ballrooms offer memorable backdrops for any event. The Marble Room on the first floor, which features original stained-glass windows, presents a distinguished ballroom space. Taking inspiration from the grandeur of an Egyptian tomb, the Roman Strada on the second floor is decorated with murals depicting common Masonic themes. The Corinthian Room, which is also situated on the second floor, combines extravagant chandeliers and gilded columns.

The gastronomic options of the converted hotel include B’more Bistro and Lounge. It also features a 4,000-square-foot, 200-seat restaurant located on the second floor. In August 2013, guests will also be able to enjoy coffee beverages at the new onsite Starbucks.

Embassy Suites Baltimore-Downtown was developed as a joint venture between Garrison Investment Group and Chartres Lodging Group, and is managed by Kokua Hospitality, LLC.
