Designed by US-based Sperides Reiners Architects, Inc., and to be built by Kraus-Anderson Construction, the Arbors at Ridges is an extension to the existing Arbors at Ridges, an assisted living community. The project involves expansion of its memory care services.

Sprawling over five-acres site, the extension will be a three-storey building that will offer 63 assisted living units, including a guest apartment as well as six Care Suites, explicitly designed for post-operative and therapy residents.

The new community will feature patios, gardens and four-season porch. It will also include walking paths that will be connected to the the pedestrian connection from Nicollet Avenue to Portland Avenue. The amenities for the residents will include a movie theatre, library, beauty/barber shop, physical therapy area, clubroom, dining rooms, chapel, coffee shop, gift shop and lounges.

The focal point of the development is a intergenerational day care which will offer many opportunities for interactive activities involving children and seniors. Construction on the scheme is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2013.

The scheme will be managed by Kraus-Anderson for EMS, while Fairview Health Services and Fairview Ridges Hospital will offer health and wellness services for the assisted living scheme.
