The changes include moving the planned barrier 10 feet north of the intersection at West 11th Street and Marshall Drive for the convenience of snow plows, moving two catch basins two feet away from the barrier so it doesn’t get clogged with dirt, topping the landscaped mound with arborvitae, and installing signs to tell motorists that it is not a through-street.
The Erie Regional Airport Authority expects to advertise the first construction bid package in mid 2010. It is expected that the supervisors will approve the final plan for those storm-water controls. The airport will also make changes to its planned detention basin by enlarging it and putting a beam around it.
