This year, sites have been put forward by Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Spain, France, Estonia, Croatia, Italy, Ireland, Latvia, Hungary, The Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Switzerland, Finland and Sweden. The last date for submission of designs is June 29, 2009.
The competition is open to urban and architectural design professionals: architects, urban planners, landscape designers, engineers. Teams may also include young professionals from other disciplines. The candidates applying for the competition must be under 40 years of age on the closing date of submission of entries.
The winners and runners-up of the competition will receive a prize of EUR12,000 ($15,968) and EUR6,000 ($7,984) respectively.
