The property was originally constructed in 1892 for Sir Dr. John Reid who was the honorary physician to the Queen of England, and his wife Lady Georgina Hill Reid who was the founder of the Vancouver Council of Women.

The design of the building interior has been conceived by Michel Laflamme, and Janks Design Group. Yuval Biton served as the developer. The renovation of the 7,000 feet facility has retained its traditional design features and integrated them with contemporary amenities.

The revamped house incorporates a Edwardian style interior featuring luxury executive offices. It now sports 9’9-inch ceilings, white walls and crown moulding, and Edwardian style wood paneling and wainscoting. The main areas of the renovated property has been fitted with hardwood floors while its offices have been adorned in carpet. The look has been complemented by installation of chandeliers and lanterns.

The building features spacious offices sporting windows opening outside, and roomy boardrooms. All the offices and boardroom have been equipped with individual heating systems and controls following the makeover. The facility now also comprises contemporary kitchens donning granite and stainless steel appliances.

The washrooms of the building have been fitted with character lighting fixtures post overhaul. Its top storey now houses office with an open floor plan. The office has been strategically positioned to offer views of downtown Vancouver, Burrard inlet and the mountains. The property’s front entryway too, has been redesigned to enable access to the front sidewalk. Further, the house has now installed upgraded electricity, data cable, lighting, plumbing and heating systems.

The project has been financed by David Kaplan’s Revenue Property Group.
