The renovation plan includes the removal of the east bleachers and addition of an open concourse from where fans can congregate and see the field. It also includes adding private skyboxes to the north and south of the press box that will have indoor and outdoor seating.
The chain link fence around the stadium will be replaced with brick pillars. The press box will be expanded by moving the back wall farther out to the west. Renovation project will involve addition of restrooms and concessions mostly in the area where the east bleachers are located now, and adding office space. Elevators will be installed to help the stadium meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
The changes, particularly to the east bleachers, could take the capacity of the stadium from about 47,000 to 42,000.
