The design charette, a participatory design meeting structured around community engagement, produced many opinions on the design of the 40-acre school campus and building.
Suggestions included building the school with three to four floors so that the entire campus could be consolidated in one building. The members want the parking area in the middle of the campus, while the entrance of the school should have a clean and aesthetic design, according to Bobbi Hill, the facilitator from Concordia.
Out of the 45 designs considered in the meeting, the top three design layouts will be selected on the basis of voting and will be presented to the school board. By the end of the next month, the final design will be selected.
