Consisting of 142,000 square-feet space, the new hospital features 54 private inpatient rooms, including 10 VIP suites, 12 operating suites, and an emergency department. The suites include a second room within the room, appointed with a foldout-king-sized bed and flat screen television.
The hospital also offers six Intensive Care Unit beds, two endoscopy/special procedure suites, and full-service imaging including MRI and CT scans. To create a soothing as well as healing outdoor atmosphere, exterior gardens are built. The overall feel is closer to a high-end hotel than hospital.
Southlake centre would lay a strong emphasis on orthopedic procedures. The facility will also offer bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, neurosurgery, general surgery, and other specialty procedures.
Forest Park Medical Center Southlake opened its doors to the patients on 28 May 2013 and will begin seeing patients from 10 June 2013.
The new hospital is on of the three locations of Forest Park Medical Center in Texas. The others are in Frisco and Dallas. More are planned in Fort Worth, Austin and San Antonio.
