Scope of the project involved renovation of all resident rooms, lounges, staff work areas and the therapy room of the Health Center. The project has added a new activities room and upgraded the new features and amenities in the living and working areas.
The new activities room features a translucent roofing system, which bathes the space with diffused natural sunlight and serves as a structural integrator. It aids in energy efficiency as well. The facility features an open ADA-compliant kitchenette area, which offers height-adjustable tables.
The project has also upgraded the technology of the Health Center. The purpose of the renovation was to deliver a modern facility to address the changing needs of the new-aged seniors.
Health Center plans to launch phase II of renovation, which will entail an investment of $10 million and will involve construction of an expanded auditorium with a large meeting room, expanded fitness centre, and two new dining and lounge areas. Work in phase II will focus on renovating the commons areas of the community. The project is scheduled to commence in late October 2012.
