The newly introduced Frigidaire appliance line received the excellence award, which recognizes Frigidaire’s commitment to smart energy management, and its efforts to communicate the importance of energy efficiency to a wide audience, and specifically recognizes the brand’s Swap and Save Energy Conservation Program.

The goal of the Swap and Save Energy Program, rolled out in April 2009 in retailers’ showrooms around the country, is to educate the end consumer on the money saved by swapping their old high energy consumption appliance for a Frigidaire Energy Star-qualified appliance. The program will run for one calendar year, culminating in an Energy Event in April 2010.

Frigidaire recently announced ‘Paid to Upgrade’ program, which was created to add additional value to consumers on top of the $300 million State Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate Program.

Frigidaire recently launched 250 new kitchen and laundry appliances designed with easy-to-use time-, money- and energy-saving features. The new collections are Energy Star qualified, where applicable, and offer a variety of stylish appliances.
