The design concept for this hotel aims to create a harmonious blend of traditional Lingnan aesthetics with contemporary design elements, cultural heritage of the region and providing a tranquil and inviting space for guests to relax and unwind.

Chen Chung Design has delivered its design, which uses the theme of ‘birds returning to their nests,’ combining art and nature to deliver a spectacular scheme with tranquillity at its heart.

By skilfully borrowing elements from Lingnan gardens such as pavilions, bridges, courtyards, and pavilions, a garden is created in this bustling city with the hotel’s vertical gardens allowing for a greater integration of nature into the space.

The judges said: ‘Cohesive colour palette integrated with nature and natural light. Contemporary yet very classic.’
