Inspired by the rich history and dynamic movement of the Paddington Basin, tp bennett’s design for Capital Group’s new London headquarters showcases how design can reflect its local environment, blending form and function to create a purposeful workplace.

The project prioritised sustainability, adopting a holistic approach focused on environmental, economic, and social principles. Designed across nine floors at 1 Paddington Square the new London HQ is progressive, emphasising connectivity and wellbeing for their associates.

The design narrative focuses on the local environment drawing elements from Paddington’s evolution into the design concept. Undulating forms that take inspiration from the reflections, fluid forms and ripples created by the Paddington Basin and surrounding waterways, are featured at intervals across the design.

The judges said: ‘Great architectural elements.’
