Geisinger hopes to open its two inpatient floors, levels 7 and 8 of the 9 story building, in February 2010, and will occupy the Abigail Geisinger Pavilion 4 floor, cardiac telemetry unit and the Cardiac Care Unit

The empty space will then host the neurosurgery and intensive care unit. The 308,000 square feet hospital will include 50,000 square feet of diagnostic and laboratory space, several floors of patient roomsand a 32,000 square feet surgical suite, equipped with state of the art robotic and interventional medical equipment.

The construction of the Mill Street office and parking facility is also two weeks ahead of schedule, with the precast structure allready complete. Following this, work on the interiors, lighting and security system will commence.

The new facility is slated to host a corridor accentuated with glass windows and air conditioning, and is scheduled to be ready and occupied by mid November.
