Clearline features a unique design with no vertical mullions, resulting in maximum light penetration and totally uninterrupted views to the exterior. The range is completely double-glazed, and is thermally broken.
Clearline can be installed using unobtrusive PVC bubble gasket sited between the individual curtains or panels. When the closing mechanism is activated, this is compressed and becomes all transparent, which helps the curtains to deliver excellent levels of security, sound-proofing and weather-tightness.
A combination of toughened 4 – 6 mm low-iron, light-reflective or Pilkington ‘K’ Glass with a ‘U’ value of 1.4 W/m2K, ensures that every ‘Clearline’ installation is safe in use and highly energy-efficient, offering both comfort and lower energy bills. Moreover, the slimness of each curtain (45 mm compared with 90 mm in most other systems) means that when stacked, they take up minimal room, allowing optimum use of living/working space.
Running on PTFE (Pure Teflon) and moved by kinetic energy, the curtains have an easy-glide action and may be stacked inwards or outwards. Each FGC ‘Clearline’ installation, which can be up to 3.2 m high with individual curtains up to 1.5 m wide, is tailor-made to ensure an exact, seamless interface with the opening into which it is fitted.
A single-glazed ‘Clearline’ door set is also available which provides an elegant and practical solution for dividing internal living/working space. ‘Clearline’ range is ideally suited for commercial and domestic properties, and meets British standards BS 6375 Part 1 for wind and water resistance.
