The refurbishment project includes the complete restoration of the 3,380 square metre two-storey building and the creation of a modern and efficient fire service headquarters for Berkshire.
The external refurbishment includes remedial works to the existing hard and soft landscaping with the addition of new security fencing and gates. Apart from that it also includes the replacement of the existing roof and wall cladding, which will be completed in line with the integrity of the building.
Apart from that the offices will also be upgraded internally with the installation of new mechanical and electrical services including the creation of a new control suite for the Thames Valley Fire Control Service.
The project is scheduled to take 41 weeks to complete.
