It is a personal collection that Anton Assaad, the director of Great Dane Furniture sourced from his adventures to India, Morocco, Japan and Argentina. The new collection is noted for sparkly-jeweled inlay, bold shapes and interesting perspectives and scale.
The store offers a collection of oriental and sub-continental products that root their origins to temples, maritime cocks, bathhouses and textile stores. It features a bizarre, bazaar-kind of space, that has a diverse portfolio consisting of Japanese rain chains, life size ceramic Indian dancers, Argentinian child’s carousel, glass fishing floats, Chinese fans, made-in-India ceramic door handles, Mongolian hand painted rice boxes, glass perfume bottles, large metal elephants and hand carved wooden Gods.
