The bank is slated to be the first community bank of its type in the Midwest. The 272,000 square feet Green Exchange tower encompasses four floors with the bank spanning 3,800 square feet situated on the first level. The bank abides by several LEED Platinum norms such as employing energy-efficient measures to reap energy savings.
The branch uses electronic document distribution, image-based check processing, online banking and e-statements to cut down use of paper and in turn, reduce carbon emissions. Also, the debit cards of the bank have been created utilising 100% reclaimed plastic.
The facility features recycled wood and other materials, low VOC paints and advanced lighting systems. Its countertops, wall systems and flooring are also made of reclaimed materials which have a high percentage of reclaimed content and are procured through regional sources. In addition, the bank has implemented various green programmes for employees and is equipped with signage across its entire area to alert customers on green traits.
