Located on Innovation Court and West Vernal Pike, the new Northwest YMCA will be a 45,000 square feet facility. The new centre will include a licensed early childhood development centre, a warm water multi-purpose pool, gymnasium, teaching kitchen and a health and wellness cardio centre.
The facility will be enclosed by a 120 acres space for outdoor recreation, including walking and biking trails, day camp and sports.
The pipeline YMCA forms an integral part of a business park on the northwest side of the city. The new facility is scheduled for completion by late 2015. The estimated cost of the new facility is between $10 million to $13 million, of which YMCA has raised about $7.5 million.
