Designed by Williamsburg-based Andy Cronan of Guernsey Tingle Architects, Courthouse Construction will serve as the general contractor.
The new centre will provide storage space, office facilities, a large food pantry, walk-in refrigeration, a spacious clothes closet and designated areas to receive and process donations. It will also have separate areas to host life skill classes, job fairs, health education and service opportunities. It will additionally provide permanent cover during inclement weather, which is not offered by the current facility.
Since February 2000, Grove Christian Outreach Center has provided food, hygiene and clothing items to the neediest citizens of the Williamsburg area.
