The project which transforms former Holiday Inn Costa Mesa into a completely redesigned independent hotel includes a complete redesign of its guest rooms, meeting rooms, ballroom, lobby, restaurant and bar. The $7 million renovation is undertaken as part of a decision by the owner and operator Hanford Hotels, to leave the Holiday Inn franchise system and transform the property into Hotel Hanford.

The 79 newly designed guest rooms offering sleek and sophisticated design, form the first set of new rooms to be completed. The design of the rest of the 222-room is scheduled to be completed by early August 2010 and the new boutique hotel will be reopened in late 2010.

Post renovation, the hotel will roll out an entirely new look integrating thoughtful details to make it a comfortable and functional retreat for business and leisure guests. Restructured exterior features new architectural lighting, signage and new garden landscaping. The interiors feature elegant fabrics and textures enhancing the visual appeal.

Each of the newly designed rooms feature custom handmade furnishings including a large work desk, full-sized armoire with full-length mirror and in-room technology and amenities such as large flat screen televisions, MP3 compatible alarm clock radios, telephones and free wireless Internet service. The rooms will also be equipped with plush beds with fine linens and a custom pillow from a menu that includes firm, soft, feather and memory foam. Bathrooms will feature large vanities with ample storage. Large rainwater shower heads will be featured to offer a relaxing shower.
