Heriot Watt University has just completed 300 new self-catered student residences at its Edinburgh and Borders Campus ahead of the new term in September 2013.
ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions were chosen by RMJM Architects to supply door closing solutions at the student residences. The company provided DC500, as well as hinges, door furniture and modular locks from ASSA.
The door closer, with CAM motion technology and height-adjustable guiderail, meets the requirements under the Equality Act, specifically BS8300 and Approved Document M, providing security while assisting in ease of operation by students with a disability, allowing accessibility for all.
RMJM Architects specified ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions, having worked with the company earlier on a different project.
