The façade of the house facing the street is made up of overlapping sheets of bronze and Portland stone. This two-bedroom house is a replacement to the existing artist’s studio in the conservation area of St John’s Wood.
The home features a green roof and an underground extra story. The design has been made for 250 square meters. The house also features a sunken garden. Due to the size of the proposal, the dimensions of the original building could not be exceeded, but an additional floor was added below the street level.
Hogarth Architects won the planning permission for the GBP1 million ($1.63 million approx.) for the new-build project to build a contemporary home for a private client in north London.
