A contract for the said renovation has been issued by the city officials, who stated that the school’s board had approved the contract and that it has been sent to the contractor.
Due to fund related issues, some of the works may experience a delay, like the construction of three additional classrooms, construction of a fence along Mesa Drive, added space in the school’s kitchen, reconfiguring the staff’s parking area, the expansion and moving of the tennis courts, and the expansion of the gymnasium to create room for bathrooms, and a concession stand and the reconfiguring of a bus loop.
The initial cost of the project was $26.5 million, but it was reduced by $1.5 million due to the economic downturn.
