Operated by Hotel Equities of Atlanta and owned by Graham Companies, the contemporary hotel’s interiors are inspired by bright tropical colors that correspond to the region’s natural setting. It features hardwood-style flooring, oversized photo paintings of local images, area rugs, guestrooms with oversized beds and showers with spa-inspired themes.

Comprising 47 single-bed and 39 double-bed rooms, the non-smoking guestrooms feature work desk with lamp, sofa-bed, private bathroom and connecting rooms.

Designed for special occasions and business functions, the 240-square foot meeting area features boardroom style spaces. Other amenities offered include 24/7 business center, 24-hour on-site health and fitness center, whirlpool, outdoor pool and Phi Restaurant.

The upscale hotel also takes up refurbishment of its rooms through its Seasonal Renewal program, whereby new rugs, wall paintings and furniture slip covers will be added to the rooms. New directional signage, paintings and artwork will also be put up in public spaces as part of the program.

Situated in Miami Lakes, Florida, next to the Senator Golf Course and also located near the Miami International Airport, the convenient location of the hotel enables visitors to enjoy various attractions including Dolphin Stadium, South Beach and numerous art galleries.

The hotel plans to open three new properties in Florida by the end of 2009. Janis Cannon, vice president, global brand management at Hotel Indigo, says, “Hotel Indigo provides its guests a locally-inspired and refreshing hotel experience that is comfortable and contemporary, but not pretentious or haute design.”

The boutique hotel was previously known as Don Shula’s Golf Club.
