The issuance of RFQ marks the first step in choosing the firms who will design, build, finance and maintain Ontario’s first digital hospital.
The new 656-bed hospital by HRRH will be designed as a slender and green building studded with the latest in environmental sustainability concepts. The project aims to achieve the highest possible Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. The design will focus on making the hospital a patient-family- and community-friendly facility.
The hospital will feature enhanced emergency services, increased specialized outpatient services, modern diagnostic equipments, updated infections disease containment systems and many eco-friendly features.
The interested teams will respond to the RFQ in September, and the selection process will follow afterwards.
