say Stefano and Roberto Truzzolillo, founders of Amitrani

Our idea is for a social space that is a ribbon of light. It would have the function of bringing people together, and would be installed in open spaces such as parks, squares and beaches. It would be formed by a series of elements that together create a sinuous shape, like a ribbon in the wind.

During the day it would create its own energy through solar panels placed at the top of the vaults, while in the evening it would come to life and turn into a series of lighting effects thanks to OLEDs (efficient and thin light sources) that cover the visible surface of the structure.

All the OLEDs would be connected to a central electronic system, and the public could program it in an easy and intuitive way to have their own light show. It would act as a catalyst between different people, encouraging interaction and socialisation.

It’s a place where people could meet, attend events and parties, a place to relax while being outdoors.
