COC00N REIMAGINES how private enclosures can flex to support diverse work needs in the modern office. At its heart is a simple question: we often move to find the right work environment, but what if that environment could adapt to meet our needs instead? This conceptual private booth explores that idea through variable sizing, recognising that a suitable environment could be influenced by aspects such as postures, acoustics and work style. It serves as a compact space for individual focus or extends to accommodate small group collaboration, offering a flexible alternative to fixed meeting rooms.

Teknion adopts a user-centred approach, experimenting with ideas while addressing existing user needs and anticipating future requirements to develop innovative, practical solutions for modern work environments. COC00N is a design exercise by its multidisciplinary team, combining expertise in architecture, interior design, product engineering, visual communication and material research.

The booth’s carbon steel frame extends, adjusts and reconfigures to reshape the enclosure. It is wrapped in a custom-engineered textile that is breathable and stretchable, yet holds its form over time. It also provides visual and acoustic isolation, while the fabric allows diffused light to pass through, creating a soft glow that signals occupancy.
